DESCRIPTION:On July 2\, 2026\, a commemorative event marking the 25th anni
 versary of the establishment of the Peruvian Truth and Reconciliation Comm
 ission (CVR) will take place at the Goethe-Institut Lima. Titled "25 Years
  of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: Memory\, Assessment\, and Cha
 llenges for Peru\," the event focuses on addressing the history of violenc
 e and examining long-term perspectives regarding truth\, justice\, and soc
 ial reconciliation.\n\nThe event will open with an introductory keynote by
  Salomón Lerner Febres\, followed by a presentation by Prof. Dr. Rosario 
 Figari Layus. Subsequently\, experts from academia and the human rights se
 ctor will participate in a joint panel discussion to address current devel
 opments\, challenges\, and perspectives regarding the politics of memory i
 n Peru.
