The symposium “Reconciliation, Reclamation, Resurgence: Transnational and Interdisciplinary Perspectives” brings together international scholars to discuss current perspectives on processes of reconciliation, cultural reclamation, and social renewal.

This public panel discussion brings together Indigenous Canadian, African American, German, and Namibian perspectives on processes and practices of reconciliation, reclamation, and resurgence. It showcases the research of four scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds, exploring the meanings, potentials, and limitations of the notion of reconciliation, along with possible alternatives.

The symposium is part of the research network "The Cultural Politics of Reconciliation" and is funded by the DFG
