Quo Vadis Middle East? Working on a postwar scenario
Immediately after the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, we were able to bring together key players from the region in Bonn for a free exchange of views. At the conference “Quo vadis Middle East?”, scientists, civil society actors, business representatives, and political decision-makers from all relevant countries in the Middle East and Germany discussed possible paths to a peaceful future. The project was developed in collaboration with the International Academy NRW and the Institute for 'International Corporation, Technological Cooperation and Communication' . It was the first and so far only conference of its kind, funded by the Ministry of State for Culture and continued in April and October 2024.
The format is unique in Germany. It brings scientists from the region together around one table. We want to work together on visions for the future – in a ‘safe space’.
